Gretchen Morrison
Gretchen is passionate about religious liberty, parental rights, and pro-life issues. She switched her career from business to public interest law after governments arrested pastors and penalized people of faith for assembling and holding church services during COVID. Being married to a professional minister, she feels a personal connection to First Amendment issues and wants to fight for all believers’ rights to speak and live out their calling.
In addition to her concern for religious liberty, Gretchen is a parental rights advocate. She is dedicated to defending God’s design for the family and biological women, especially from recent attacks by school systems and family services executive agencies. Having three kids herself and multiple nieces and nephews, she wants to advocate against the use of public schools to indoctrinate children with controversial sociological ideologies, as such conversations are best left to parents and churches.
Gretchen graduated from Ave Maria School of Law in Naples, FL where she learned about the common good, natural law, and Catholic social justice. While in law school she interned for the Thomas More Society and PJI. She joined PJI as the staff attorney for West Virginia in hopes to help the state increase its religious liberty protections through the legislature and develop its case law at the state and federal level. West Virginia ranked last for religious liberty according to the 2024 and 2025 Religious Liberty in the States Index. She also is passionate about federal public policy and enjoys advocating for meaningful changes at the Congressional level for religious liberties, pro-life values, and parental rights. She is licensed in West Virginia and Florida.
