Pacific Justice Institute Launches New Position to Strategically Impact Legislatures

Sacramento, CA—Pacific Justice Institute (PJI) is proud to announce that the non-profit legal defense firm has launched a new position titled Legislative Counsel. Filling this role is Janice Lorrah, a persuasive and successful civil litigator with more than 20 years’ experience.

As PJI’s Legislative Counsel, Ms. Lorrah will uniquely be focused on strategically…

  1. Monitoring federal, state and municipal legislation related to religious liberty, sanctity of life, traditional values, and important constitutional issues;
  2. drafting legal opinion letters in support of—or opposition to—legislation;
  3. testifying before lawmakers;
  4. writing and distributing press releases; and
  5. making television and radio appearances.

The Legislative Counsel will work in conjunction with PJI’s already well-established presence across the United States—multiplying PJI’s impact on a macroscale. PJI not only provides legal defense and resources all without charge, but the ministry also strategically targets the source of opposition to fundamental freedoms by fighting at the ground level to prevent radical and harmful bills from being enacted.
