Baby Israel Moved, Will Get Another Chance to Live

Sacramento, CA–A toddler who has been fighting for life in a Northern California hospital took another step toward recovery over the weekend by being transferred to a facility that will administer treatment and agrees with his parents that he continues to show signs of life.

Attorneys with Pacific Justice Institute and Life Legal Defense Foundation have jointly represented Israel’s family as they have fended off several attempts to disconnect him from life support at a Kaiser Permanente hospital in Roseville, California.  On Friday, Israel won another reprieve from the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit, which requested additional briefing.  On Saturday, Israel was able to be transported to an undisclosed hospital that intends to feed and treat him.

Brad Dacus, president of Pacific Justice Institute, commented, “We are very thankful for this positive turn of events that will allow Baby Israel a chance to recover.  Continued prayers for him and his family are greatly appreciated.”
