Pacific Justice Institute (PJI) has immediate openings across the US for full and part time Staff Attorneys. Purpose of the Position
The role of the Staff Attorney is to strengthen the mission of PJI by serving, defending and providing resources and direction related to religious freedoms in their respective state demographics.
Your Essential Responsibilities:
In this position, you will:
- Receive, review and evaluate potential clients and their cases
- Conduct research, interview clients and witnesses
- Prepare and respond to written discovery; conduct and defend depositions
- Represent clients in court, and before administrative agencies of government; interpret laws, rulings, and regulations for individuals and businesses.
- Work with other PJI attorneys on various legal matters from time to time
- Engage in donor development, which includes media appearances and speaking engagements to further PJI’s mission
- Interact with media regarding cases and issues

Demonstrated proficiency in:
- Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office, Gmail, etc.
- Excellent organizational skills
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

Education and/or experience:
- Bachelor’s degree: J.D., licensed to practice law in a relevant geographic location
