Director of Mission Relations
Pacific Justice Institute (PJI) has an immediate opening for a Director of Mission Relations to work from our Garden Grove office. PJI is the leading faith-based non profit organization with offices from coast to coast, providing high quality representation to clients, without charge, in the defense of religious freedoms, parental rights, sanctity of life and other civil liberties.
Purpose of the Position
The Director of Mission Relations serves as a critical component of our mission work focusing on organizational partnerships, events and donor communications among other priorities.
- Strengthen our stewardship strategies to increase retention, learning about our donors and personalizing communications
- Identify, qualify and cultivate all levels of donor prospects
- Develop new programs for donor engagement, donor communication as well as general updates as to PJI cases
- Nurture a culture of teamwork, collaboration and focus on the mission of PJI
- Develop Corporate Sponsorships/donors/partnerships
- Facilitate speaking engagements, events and other high profile external opportunities to showcase who PJI is, what PJI does and how PJI can serve in a broader capacity
Having made dramatic changes and significant growth throughout the last few years, PJI must strengthen our stewardship program to allow for our growth objectives, increase new exposure to PJI and its mission while at the same time keeping communication with our donor base at the top of the priority. This individual will learn the value our donors provide and cultivate that in every aspect of our messaging. This person will then scale personal outreach so that supporters feel inspired, motivated and loyal to our mission.
This person will facilitate the team’s process for reevaluating and creating new initiatives aimed at both driving donor growth while continually supporting those whom have been with us for some time – clearly defining the long term vision and short term goals, engaging key stakeholders to identify and implement new or improved strategies and measuring success along the way.
The Director of Mission Relations will be a strategic thought partner for the Director of Operations and work with both our internal team as well as external third party marketing entities, ensuring that our programs are aligned, our work is being leveraged and our culture is collaborative.

Qualifications:
- Three or more years of experience in fundraising, sales or customer success management
- Experience leading, developing and growing fulfilled teams
- Experience with peer to peer fundraising and CRM platforms is a plus
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Team and mission oriented
- Strong project management skills
- High emotional intelligence

Pay: $55,000.00 – $65,000.00 per year
